Gareth Bale breaks Gary Lineker’s record for most La Liga goals

Gareth Bale, in just his his third season at Real Madrid has broken Gary Lineker’s record and now has become the all-time leading British goal scorer.

The former record holder, Gary Lineker also congratulated him on Twitter.

Bale’s goal in the 4-0 victory over Sevilla took his tally to 43 in 76 games, exceeding the Englishman’s record of 42 goals in 103 games for Barcelona between 1986 and 1989.
