MiHoYo‘s Genshin Impact offers a wide variety of characters to its players. These characters not only differ in terms of their elemental abilities, but serve unique roles when put in a party. One such role is that of a support character.
Support characters comprise two sub-categories, healers and damage supporters. As the names suggest, healers master in regenerating health, and damage supporters directly engage in close combat to deal extra damage to the enemies.

Healers in Genshin Impact like Barbara, Jean, and Qiqi possess similar capabilities in terms of health regeneration. However, their efficiency to do the same helps in ranking them:
- Jean (Anemo)
Jean is arguably the best healing agent in Genshin Impact. Her Dandelion Breeze ability not only does significant damage to the enemies, but regenerates an enormous amount of health for her entire party.
- Qiqi (Cyro)
Owing to her longer cooldown period, Qiqi lags Jean as a healer. Also, her Preserver of Fortune ability only regenerates the on-field character. As a result, players have to either rely on her for damage, or quickly switch to the main DPS as they hit her ultimate ability.
- Barbara (Hydro)
Barbara and Qiqi posses very similar stats and healing abilities. Qiqi certainly takes the upper hand in damage stats; however, Barbara is a better healer than Qiqi. Hence, both the characters are quite similar and players can choose either of them based on personal preference.

- Venti (Anemo)
Venti, the best bard in the entire world, is also the best supporting agent in Genshin Impact. Along with amazing utility, Venti can single-handedly turn a battle in your favor with his elemental skills and burst, Skyward Sonnet and Wind’s Grand Ode.
- Ningguang (Geo)
Ningguang might be one of the most underrated support characters in Genshin Impact, because a lot of players underestimate her explosive burst damage stats. Also, she is one of the best geo characters to have in your party. Feel free to replace her with Noelle or vice versa.
