The 25-year-old player stated, “I’m going back on the court in April. It is going to be an incredible journey getting back. So I’m going to see some else’s butt on this chair talking about me on the other Tennis Channel, not this Tennis Channel.”

Coming to tennis, Townsend had a successful career in the juniors. She had won the Australian Open title in singles and doubles during the 2012 season. Things went so well for her that she became the World No. 1 player that season.

During the 2020 season, she ended the year by reaching the semifinal in the US Open doubles category. Nonetheless, it will be great to have her return back on the Tour soon.
