Mayweather is the 5th highest-paid athlete of all time. Moreover, he is one of only six athletes whose career earnings have topped $1 billion. Woods, on the other hand, ranks second on the list. Since turning pro in 1996, his career earnings have reached a whopping $1.65 billion. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he has a net worth of $800 Million.

While most of the highest-paid athletes in history earned a large chunk through endorsements, such is not the case for Mayweather. In fact, he has earned more than $500 million from just two fights in his career, with Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao.

Since retiring, he started his own boxing promotional firm called ‘Mayweather Productions’. His biggest endorsement deal is with a watch company called ‘Hublot’. However, Woods has many lucrative endorsements with Nike, Titleist, and even Rolex and TaylorMade.

So, Woods is clearly worth more than the boxer. However, the latter has made more from bouts rather than through endorsements and sponsors. Hence, it’s unfair to compare. What are your thoughts?
