Paige Spiranac rarely pulls any punches. And she didn’t this time either. After her post on T.J. Moe’s comments of not wanting to listen to female broadcasters talk football rubbed some the wrong way, the 31-year-old issued a clarification. She, however, didn’t backtrack but rather doubled down on her position from before, reiterating her words got ‘spun around.’. 

Spiranac wanted to draw a comparison from her personal experience. The 31-year-old celebrity influencer revealed that she was cautioned that she would never be taken seriously. That’s despite playing collegiate golf and trying her luck at the LPGA Tour Q-School. Spiranac said, “When I first started this out, I was knowledgeable; I played at a high level and was told that I was never going to be taken seriously.”

Spiranac wanted to inspire her fans and debunk the myth that women can’t be experts in traditionally men-dominated areas. However, some took it the wrong way and blasted the celebrity influencer for ignoring the reality and sidestepping Moe’s point. Spiranac, though, explained that she faced a lot of flak for her revealing dresses on the greens, which many considered inappropriate for golf.

Commenting on that, Paige Spiranac said even though it might get difficult to face mounting criticism for everything you do, it’s worth persevering and surviving. “Since someone is always going to have something to say, you might as well pursue your passions.” Spiranac has obviously done that herself and her fans laud the 31-year-old for that.
