Who is it under the hood in TaylorMade’s viral Christmas video? Tiger Woods? The internet was doubtful. Rumors spread like wildfire that it was a doppelganger who donned the festive hat. But not anymore. The Original Equipment Manufacturer just posted a behind-the-scenes clip of the Christmas card. Tommy Fleetwood, Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa, Nelly Korda, and Rory McIlroy were all seen donning the eleven green gowns. But, undoubtedly, Tiger Woods, a.k.a. Mac Daddy Santa got the spotlight.

This wasn’t the first time fans questioned TaylorMade’s festive clip, either. When the equipment brand first released its Christmas card in 2019, fans thought it was fake. Later, TaylorMade had to release a BTS video to quell the rumors. This time, too, the BTS video does the job, as fans finally agree that it was indeed Tiger Woods as Santa.

Tiger Woods leaves no room for doubt
In the clip, Tiger Woods is seen wearing a huge Santa beard. The cameraman asks, “How does that mustache feel, Tiger?” “Better than the first time I did it. That one left blisters,” the former World No. 1 confessed.
From Woods’s excitement afterward, it seemed the beard didn’t cause any skin problems this time. In fact, the 82-time PGA Tour winner wanted to hit some golf fans. “Better hit a golf shot in this.”
Was he planning to “crop dust” on some innocent cameramen this time, too? We wouldn’t know, as the veteran was carted away because his pack of elves depended on his instructions. A “festive” Rory McIlroy said, “Got the main man Santa in there, and he’ll tell us what to do.”

But Woods had his job cut out nice and short. “I just see and do nothing.” Funnily enough, that’s what he was asked to do by the director as well: “nod in approval.” Netizens, too, nodded in approval after the BTS video calmed the wildfire.

Fans try to figure out who Woods looks like
Notably, Woods himself started the ‘Mac Daddy Santa’ trend seven years ago on Twitter. So, the 15-time Major Champion was as excited as his fans are now.
One fan wrote, “You can see Tigers excitement, he can barely contain it.” And arguably he couldn’t have been more right for the soon-to-be 48-year-old howled, “Woooooo Baby,” before springing into action.

Although Tiger Woods has now become Santa, there was a time when Woods wanted gifts from the Big Man. Referring to the now-famous clip of a five-year-old Woods asking Santa for a 1 iron and a 2 iron, this fan quipped, “Can I get some irons?”

Since Woods made his comeback at the Hero World Challenge, fans have marveled at his jacked-up physique. This fan was still in awe. “Tiger looks huge, never realised (sic) how muscular he is!”
Despite reports that Tiger Woods’s partnership with Nike will end this year, the veteran golfer wore a Nike T-shirt and shoes. That didn’t elude the keen gaze of some fans. One user commented, “Nike Shoes on Tiger.”

TaylorMade didn’t want any rumors to mar the festive spirit. Fans would perhaps also prefer some clarity on Tiger Woods’s next apparel sponsor.
