In the new video from Barstool’s media channel ‘Lights, Camera, Barstool,’ they discussed the most incredible personality of the sports. KenJac hosted the show, and Superbowl champion Steven Cheah also joined the panel. The discussion’s vital part was comparing John Daly with NBA star Charles Barkley. According to Cheah, there was not much difference between the two entities. Differentiating between both, Cheah said, “John Daly is basically Charles Barkley, but fatter and better at golf.”

Further in the discussion, whether Daly was as great at golf as Barkley was at basketball was raised. Cheah clarified, “I’m just saying like modern-day character again, like the same dude.” According to him, they were the same as a person. The 56-year-old golfer was Barkley of a new age regarding habits and interests.

Does this mean they were different on the sports level? According to Cheah, no, they were not different. Daly’s achievements coincide with the Barkley winning the MVP. They are both the same in terms of the level of the sports.

The Superbowl champion explained his answer, “John Daly won the British Open. He won the PGA. He was, I think, the rank the number-one golfer in the world for a year. Think Charles Barkley won an MVP. How could you say that being the number one golfer in the world in a year is not the same?” He couldn’t believe how his co-host was weighing both of them differently.

Are Barkley and Daly the same?

Both Daly and Barkley are great friends and are known as the gambling twins. They share many interests. Their bond includes intense jamming sessions of “Can’t You See” in a restaurant. And not just that, the duo played the Regions Pro-Am event together. We often see them together, spending quality time. 

Barkley is also crazy about golf, the way Daly is devoted to the sport. He once told a reporter, “I watch a lot of PGA TOUR Champions.” According to him, no one watches PGA as much as he does.
