Michael Block, a regular PGA professional, has been the biggest star at Oak Hill Country Club for the past three days. Though his victory may not be certain on Sunday, he might end up heading home as the ultimate winner as per the latest information.

Though he turned pro back in 1998, Block doesn’t hold a PGA Tour card like most of his fellow competitors in the ongoing Major. However, he has been a PGA professional and is currently competing in his fifth PGA Championship. Following his exceptional performance at Oak Hill Country Club, the future looks quite promising for the Missouri-born golfer.

During the first three days at the ongoing Major, Block’s performance has been consistent. With three constant 70 scores, the 46-year-old heads to the final round by being among the top 10. But the golfer will look to further improve his chances as a promising scenario has been laid out by the PGA Tour for the professional.

While his performance has been making headlines around the golfing world, PGA Tour Communications’ Twitter handle shared the outcome that Michael Block would face depending on his finish at the Oak Hill Country Club. As per the post, Block could secure an entry to next year’s PGA Championship with a top-15 finish.

However, if he enhances further among the top 10 in the leaderboard, the PGA professional earns a spot for next month’s RBC Canadian Open. With a Top 4 finish, Michael would receive an invitation to Augusta National for the 2024 Masters. In case Block defies the odds at the ongoing Major, and either wins it or finishes in top-3, the scenario looks much glittering for him.

A top-3 finish or better would secure him a ‘Special Temporary Membership‘ in the PGA Tour for the remainder of the season. Moreover, he could even contend himself into the FedExCup with the points he earns at the PGA Championship. Nonetheless, Block would need further assistance from golf gods to claim a Wannamaker Trophy. But how far away is the PGA Professional from the leaders?
