The 2021 PNC Championship has had an enthralling start. We have plenty of teams in contention going into the final round tomorrow. However, Tiger the man, because of whom the event has incredible attention and attraction, had a decent start to his comeback event.

Meanwhile, the PNC Championship is an event that traditionally takes place in December, mostly played by fathers and sons or someone within the family. Last year, team Thomas won this event with a score of -25 and has started well this time around as well.

2021 PNC Championship round one summary

Team Cink, Team Thomas, Team Daly, and Team Player showcased some incredible golf skills at round one of the 2021 PNC Championship. Stewart Cink and his son Regan Cink started off slowly and remained even par thru three. However, they took off from the 4th hole and never settled until the final birdie putt which sent them to the top of the leaderboard at -13.

Meanwhile, for team Thomas, it was Justin who carried the team as his dad Mike was struggling slightly with his back. JT hit a few bombs and drained putts to keep them in the top half of the leaderboard. They currently share the second spot with the team Daly.

Team Daly was the team to watch out for and they have proved it right so far. John Daly II overshadowed his father and has impressed everyone with his short game and putting skills. They were incredible throughout the round right from hole one and finished their round on a high note with an eagle on the finishing par 5. Team Daly carded 60 and stand just a shot behind the leaders.

Meanwhile, the most surprising team of the day was team Player. The evergreen 86-year-old Gary Player was hitting darts with his irons and drained a few putts as well to finish with -10. And as usual, the team Singh continues to show their consistent performance at the PNC Championship as they carded 61.

Team Woods off to a decent start

Fans were expecting to see some incredible golf from the Team Woods. However, they had a modest start with both Tiger and Charlie struggling with consistency. They started off well with a birdie on the first and then made three more birdies till the 5th hole. However, they lost their way around the front nine and failed to capitalize unlike a lot of other teams on the field.

Furthermore, Tiger and Charlie started their back nine decently with a couple of birdies and finished the nine with five birdies. They carded a 62, but in the end, we have to say Tiger has had an excellent start given the circumstance he was in a few months back.
