2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Exploring the Golf Handicaps of All Competing Celebrities
After the Farmers Insurance Open, the PGA Tour has moved on to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in California. A little different than other events, this tournament has everyone from singers to athletes teeing up together. All in all, the pro-am offers up a fun time over the weekend.
Now, as it’s a pro-am, the event has amateurs with a handicap playing the course. If you’re wondering what a handicap is, it’s a number given to non-professionals, whose ability is then calculated according to their previous round’s scores. Often, the number ranges from zero to 28. This is meant to level out the difficulty, giving everyone a fair shot.

Usually, a handicap between 10 to 15 is what is considered good. With plenty of actors and non-athletes on the list, a higher handicap is expected. Someone with a handicap of 10 (or less) should shoot around 82. And with no professional training, anything in the low 80s is brilliant.
Looking at the list above, actor Alfonso Ribeiro will be playing with the lowest handicap of two. Singer-songwriters Jake Owen, Colt Ford, and news host Bret Baier follow with a handicap of three. Apart from that, many celebrities on the list have a handicap below 10.

Reports also state that due to the ongoing Saudi International, there is slightly less traffic at Pebble Beach. However, names like Patrick Cantlay and Daniel Berger (especially after the Ryder Cup) gain enough traction in the golf world today. Jordan Spieth will also be available on the course.
