The PGA Tour’s 2022–2023 FedExCup Season consists of a total of 47 events. The FedExCup Regular Season, with 44 events and 3 additional events making up The FedExCup Playoffs. The Port Royal Golf Club in Southampton hosts the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The Club has a par-71 layout and is a massive 6,828 yards. Lucas Herbert won the trophy last year with a score of 15 under par. With him not being on the field this year to defend his title, it could be anyone’s race.

The Purse and Split of the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship

The purse value for the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship is set at $6.5 million, of which the winner will get a standard 18% payout as per the PGA Tour payout chart, which adds up to $1,170,000.

The event is massive, with a 132-player field. After the first 36 holes, a cut is made to eliminate the bottom of the leaderboard. Only the top 65 players and ties move on to play the final two rounds of the tournament. All the players who finish all four rounds of the tournament will get a piece of the purse.

Besides the huge monetary prize, there are also other perks that the winner can look forward to. The winner gets 20 Official World Golf Ranking points, which are based on field strength. He also gets a two-plus-season exemption on the PGA Tour.
