The LPGA Tour is currently in the news due to its newest tournament in Oregon named the AmazingCre Portland Classic. The tournament has returned after a one-year stint on the LPGA Tour. And the golfers are all set to take home the title for the championship. But how much with the players receive as prize money this year for making the cut at the tournament?

Famous players participating in the 2022 AmazingCre Portland Classic
According to recent news, defending champion and world no. 1, Jin Young Ko, recently withdrew from the tournament. Reports say that she stepped back due to a nagging injury on her wrist. On the other hand, the 2020 champion, Georgia Hall, is still on the field and is giving her best to win the title once again. Another famous golfer who is competing in the championship is world No. 2, Nelly Korda. The golfer is currently the top-ranked player on the field.

Other than Korda and Hall, Brooke Henderson is also present on the course this year to play her best shots. The golf star won the Amundi Evian Championship this year. Hannah Green and Marina Alex are also playing in the event. Fans are excited to see their favorite players compete in the tournament.

Prize money and total purse for the Portland tournament
The tournament is all set with a total purse of $1.5 million. And the winner’s share in the tournament is $225,000. The field is hosting 132 players in the event with the top 70 and ties. But that is not all for the tournament. The players will be able to receive a few more benefits this year. The champion of this year’s event will receive 500 points for the Race to the CME Globe. Other than that, the winning golfer will also get a two-year plus exemption on the LPGA Tour.
