Tiger Woods finally ended all speculations regarding his 2022 Masters participation on Tuesday. The 15-time major championship winner finally committed to teeing up in the event’s opening round. However, the big question which will unfold in a few days is whether he will be able to make the cut line in his comeback?

Tiger announced in his media interaction that he will be playing at Augusta National on Thursday. It will be his first official event since the 2020 Masters held in November. Tiger was out from golf for nearly nine months after a fatal accident in February last year in which he injured his right leg. With Woods playing a competitive event after a long time, the big question is will he be present at the weekend at Augusta?
Woods is a five-time winner of the Masters. Moreover, the World Golf Hall of Fame member has an incredible record in the major championship event. In his 23 starts at the event, he has made the cut 22 times at the golf course. Woods has a scoring average of 70.87 and the lowest score of 65 at the Masters.

On top of that, Woods has finished in the top five 12 times out of his 23 attempts at the event. He also has 14 top 10 finishes at the event in his visits to the Masters. As a result, Woods is probably one of the most incredible professionals to play at Augusta. Woods has recorded 50 rounds in under-par scores, with his worst score at the Masters being a five-over-par 77.

Moreover, Woods has never missed a cut at the Masters since turning professional in 1997 till his last appearance in 2020. Considering all of the past results and records that he has under his cap, it is very likely that he will again make the cut and play at the event. However, only time will tell whether he will be able to make the cut line after the second round on Friday and sustain four rounds at Augusta.
When did Tiger Woods last win at the Masters?
Woods won his fifth green jacket in 2019. He emphatically won the 2019 Masters to claim his 15ht major championship win. Tiger won the major event with an overall score of 13-under-par. As a result, he won the event with a one-shot cushion after the final round on Sunday. Moreover, he carded a final round of two-under-par, 70. His final-round heroics included three birdies and two bogeys on the front nine. As a result, he moved out in one-under-par, 35. Woods recorded the same score on the back nine on route to his victory. Moreover, his win in 2019 was his first major win in almost 11 years.
