What is the total purse of the event? And how much money will the winner receive in comparison to the rest of the pato? Here’s a glimpse into all you need to know about the event.

The competitive field of the final DP World Tour event

Players from both the European Tour and the South African Tour compete in the event. Dean Burmester, who is one of the favorites to win the African Tour, will be competing alongside others. Burmester is also the highest-ranked player competing in the event, ranking at 56th in the world. Joining him are also the European side’s Ryder Cup Vice-captains for the coming year: Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts and Dane Thomas Bjorn.

The defending champion of the event, Rasmus Hojgaard, did not return to defend his title this year. In fact, neither of the former winners of the relatively new tournament is competing in this year’s event. So the event will certainly see a new face leave with the trophy.

The purse and prize money split of the Mauritius Open

The Mauritius Open will be played in a regular 72-hole format over four days. While the whole field competes in the first two rounds, a cut is made at the end of the second round, and only the top 70 players and ties proceed to play in the final two rounds of the open.
