After the Dubai Desert Classic, the European Tour is hosting the Ras al Khaimah Championship. A part of the tour’s extensive schedule, the event promises entertainment and some great golf. Moreover, the event will be held at the Al Hamra Golf Club located in the Hilton Al Hamra Beach & Golf Resort at the Al Hamra Village.

Interestingly, this will be the inaugural year for the Ras al Khaimah Championship. Phoenix Capital will be the title sponsor for the event. Having said that, a Ras Al Khaimah Golf Challenge was a part of the schedule in 2016 and 2017, along with a Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final in 2018. The Golf Challenge was also a part of the Challenge Tour.

This event is also a part of the tour’s Middle East Swing early season and is sandwiched between Rolex Series events and the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. “For decades the Middle East has been a hugely important region for the European Tour and today’s announcement further illustrates that,” said Keith Pelley, the tour’s Chief Executive. “We are delighted to take our Tour to a new Emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, for the first time.”
