Which top LPGA Tour stars will headline the JM Eagle LA Championship?

The LPGA Tour returns to the “City of Angels” for the inaugural edition of the JM Eagle LA Championship. The event will commence at LA’s Wilshire Country Club, which has previously hosted four LPGA’s LA Open editions.

The event will boast a 144-player field and will be played out over four days. Nelly Korda, who returned to world no. 1 after her third-place finish at the Chevron Championship, will compete in the event. Lydia Ko, the LPGA sensation Korda replaced at the top, will be missing from action. However, several other golfers from the top 50 in the world will be making an appearance.

World no. 6 Minjee Lee and world no. 8 Brooke Henderson, who have previously emerged victorious at the event’s venue, will also be appearing. Other big names in this week’s field include world no. 3 Jin Young Ko, world no.5 Atthaya Thitikul, world no.9 Celine Boutier, and world no.10 Georgia Hall.

Fans of LPGA Tour stars are thrilled to catch their favorite golfers in action once again after last week’s Chevron Championship. The inaugural edition of the JM Eagle LA Championship is expected to be an exciting one, with incredible rewards on the line.

The event boasts a $3 million prize purse, of which the winner will take home $450,000 in earnings. Per the LPGA Tour’s prize money distribution chart, the winner’s payout is the standard 15 percent of the total purse. The victorious golfer will also get 500 points toward the season-long race to the CME Globe.
