The LIV Golf League has already begun its 2023 season and is currently in Australia for the Adelaide event. With a field full of talented professionals, the tournament is gathering a lot of attention from fans. And despite all the criticism that the league has been receiving, fans are actually tuned in to watch this one! But what is the total purse for the highly-awaited tournament? And how much money will the winner take home at the end of the final round?

Which top players are present on the field for LIV Golf’s Adelaide tournament?

LIV Golf has successfully gathered a bagful of heavily skilled golfers from the PGA Tour. With lucrative offers and shorter schedules, the Saudi League has made a unique stand among pros. And that has led several players to leave their PGA Tour legacies and join the breakaway circuit.

However, unlike the American League, players do not have the choice to skip any tournament on the schedule. As per sources, the professional golfers who signed the LIV Golf contract agreed to appear in all their events. And therefore, the field will feature all top players including Phil Mickelson, who recently made a spectacular T2 finish at the Masters, and Dustin Johnson, who became the individual champion of the league last year. However, they and their teams might have to face a tough fight from Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, Kevin Na, Bubba Watson, and many more.

Total purse, prize money, and winner’s share for the individual tournament

The LIV Golf Adelaide tournament has been in the headlines ever since it was announced by the officials. Being from Australia himself, Greg Norman is probably the most excited man in the league right now. However, the purses still remain the most exciting part of being on LIV Golf.

The tournament is set to have a total purse of $25 million. However, the pay structure followed by the league is way too different compared to the PGA Tour. The winner will be pocketing $4 million as his share along with the title. However, players can earn up to $4.75 million by winning both individual and team competitions.

And since there is no cut in any of LIV Golf’s events, even the last-ranking player will take home $120,000. Here is how the payouts will be distributed:
