The first and only PGA Tour event, the Corales Puntacana Championship, is all set to offer adrenaline-filled action from the course with breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. The event has been a stepping stone for many golfers in the past. Take the example of Joel Dahmen, who won the event in 2021, beating Rafael Campos and Sam Ryder. It was the first PGA Tour victory for the American professional. With this season too, the expectations are high to find a new golfer to shine at the $4,000,000 event.

Corales Puntacana weather for the first two days

The weather conditions on the first day will be a test for the golfers. As per the report, the playtime might witness showers and thunderstorms. With a 50% chance of rain, the golfers may also face a delay. Though the temperature, ranging between 72 and 83 degrees F, will be ideal for players. However, not the wind, as the wind is predicted to range from 8 to 14 mph, with gusts reaching 20 mph.

Well, after the first day of the challenge, the second day would be less challenging. Though the possibility of showers will still be a worry for the players, as the forecast predicts 35% chances of rain. Not just this, but the 0.25-inch rain amount could change the course dynamics for the players. Additionally, the wind would be a constant, ranging from 9 to 15 mph, making it difficult to mark the trajectory and play perfect shots.

Two days of adverse weather conditions will be a test for the golfers. The results on these windy days will determine whether they will make the cut or not. But after the battle, it is the trophy that will be aimed at. After two days, a boost in confidence for the final two rounds.

The weather during the weekend

After the initial concern about rain on the first two days, it will start to decrease as we approach the event’s conclusion. The weather for the third round of the Corales Puntacana Championship is expected to have mixed skies with a 20% chance of rain. With the ideal temperature ranging from 74 to 84 degrees, it will be pleasant to complete.

But hold on, the high winds will increase the worry. For Saturday, the winds will flow towards the North-East direction at the speed of 12-18 mph with gusts of 28 mph. Golfers will have to play according to the wind to stay under par and keep a decent margin for the final day.

As the golfers step into the Championship decider day, the win will still be the primary concern. Flowing at the speed of 14 to 20 mph with gusts of 28-30 mph isn’t going to be easy. Also, the temperature will range from 75 degrees to 84 degrees high throughout the day.
