We all know Charlie Woods as the son of Tiger Woods. But many people believe that he is going to be the next big thing in golf. And it’s not just the fans but even professional players like Brad Faxon who say so. Notably, Charlie was first introduced to the golf world last year, when he competed at the PNC Championship. 

However, he will be competing at the event this year as well, alongside his dad, Tiger Woods. Since Tiger still hasn’t recovered completely from his injury, this year, the onus will be on Charlie to get team Woods going. Does he have what it takes to own up to the expectations? Brad Faxon, a former tour pro, was one of the best putters on the PGA Tour. He recently revealed an interesting incident that shows why Charlie Woods could be the next big thing in golf. “I think a lot of people that have seen my little posts know that I have a nice little workshop in the garage with all different putters, and Charlie he knows who I am. He doesn’t really know much about me, but he knows I’m a good putter.”

So Charlie took one camera and made a few putts into the Scotty Cameron cup. Furthermore, Brad asked him whether he has seen himself while putting? To which Charlie replied, ‘No’. “So I showed him a face-on picture. And I said, ‘what do you think?’ And he goes. ‘It looks like I move forward. My chest kind of guides through the ball’ and, I go, ‘Yeah, it does a little bit.'”

“How would you change that?’ So in the next putt, he made a stroke and absolutely changed it 100%, and I showed it to him he was, ‘that’s better. I’m just gonna do that.’ I didn’t have to say a word. And it kind of reminds me of what the great players have inside of them is that it’s almost an innate ability to fix what’s going wrong while it’s happening.”

So Charlie not only rectified his mistake but also corrected it all by himself. Undoubtedly, this shows that he has an incredible ability which only a few people can boast about. Hence, this is why fans regard Charlie Woods as the next big thing in golf.
