Bryson DeChambeau has been on a break from competitive golf since the 2022 Masters. He’s on a hiatus after undergoing surgery on his left hand. However, the American professional is recently in the limelight again due to a recent update on his return to tour.

The 28-year-old was forced to take a break from golf after undergoing surgery on his fractured hamate bone in the left hand. Bryson even provided an essential update on his recovery and when he will make his comeback to golf through a series of tweets.
Moreover, one of the statements said, “For now, I will be taking the appropriate time needed to rest and recover from this procedure and look forward to competing at the highest level within the next two months.” Moreover, this means that he will be missing the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club.

However, a recent update by Todd Lewis hints at a change in plans. It’s pointing towards Bryson teeing it up this week at the PGA Championship on a challenging and demanding golf course.
Lewis made a tweet on May 16th, that included a crucial update regarding Bryson playing at the 2022 PGA Championship.
“Although still recovering from surgery on April 14th to repair a fractured hamate bone in left hand @b_dechambeau plans to fly to Tulsa Monday where he will prepare at @SouthernHillsCC If there are no major issues with his left hand Bryson will compete in the @PGAChampionship,” the tweet read.

According to the list issued by the PGA of America, DeChambeau is still a part of the field and has not yet pulled out of the tournament. Moreover, with this recent update, it is sure that he is thinking of making his comeback. But only time will tell if he opts to play in the event, which starts on Friday.
When did Bryson DeChambeau last win on the PGA Tour?
Bryson last won on the PGA Tour at the 2021 Arnold Plamer Invitational. He won the event in the 2020-2021 PGA Tour season. Moreover, he ended the event with an overall score of 11-under-par. As a result, DeChambeau won with a one-shot lead after the final round on Sunday. Furthermore, Bryson carded a final round of one-under-par, 71 to finish on the top of the leaderboard. His round of 71 included two birdies and one bogey on the opening nine holes. As a result, Bryson moved out in one-under-par, 35. He made all pars on the back at the tough Bay Hill Club & Lodge.
