Mike Lorenzo-Vera is a French golfer who has been a professional player for 18 years now. He does not have many laurels to his name, however, his wit is popular in the golf world.

Recently, Lorenzo played at the Qatar Masters. Unfortunately, he could not make the cut. Soon after, a hater texted him and criticized him immensely. The reply from the golfer was approved by his followers as he shared the whole thing on X.

Mike Lorenzo-Vera made his DP World Tour debut in 2008 after winning the Apulia San Domenico Grand Final and finishing 7th on the Challenge Tour’s money list. The 38-year-old has stayed with the DP World Tour since then, however, now his tour card might be in danger. The last few performances by the French golfer have been disappointing.

In the last eight runs of his career, Mike has missed the cut thrice, finished out of the top 20 four times and his only top 10 finish was at Open De Espana where he was tied at 9th. The way his career has progressed in recent months, Mike may risk losing his European Tour card for next season as he stands 111th on the Race to Dubai list, only six positions away from the 117th position and losing his card. Additionally, his recent performance at the Qatar Masters mimicked some of his previous results as he failed to make the cut.

Lorenzo’s performance seemed to anger one golf spectator. He messaged Mike on Instagram, calling him a “Gutless loser” while abusing him. Mike decided to savagely reply to the individual as he told him to “go f**k himself” and Mike was “happy” that he lost money on the bet. Obviously, he assumed (in jest) the individual had placed some bet. He shared the same on X.

After the hateful exchange, the French golfer was applauded by his genuine fans. The people were happy that Mike chose to shut the hater up. Here is what they had to say!

Probably a nice guy did it!

This fan appreciated Mike and called him “an inspiration” and “a hero”. They also reassured him that he was not a loser.

Another fan had a laugh as Mike never hesitates from being his true self. They also included MLV’s (Mike Lorenzo-Vera) savage attitude on the three never-changing aspects of life.

This fan was shocked by the harsh message and suggested Mike not even bother to respond to such messages.

Another gave out what he might have said had he been approached the same way, which would have been a bit of gambling advice.

One fan liked how Mike responded and simultaneously showed concern for his career. He might not play on the DP World Tour next year.

This fan also asked Mike to ignore such individuals and block them. He should rather focus on his game and “keep grinding.”

Another took a sarcastic jibe at the hater. They noticed the puppy profile picture and said, “he is probably a nice guy.”

One was shocked by the disrespectful behavior and called out the hater, who was probably battling sadness.
