Tom Kim matches Tiger Woods’ junior record
South Korea’s Tom Kim recently became the first player to win two PGA Tour matches before turning 21 since Woods in 1996. Kim also made it to the headlines during the President’s Cup. The golfer left behind world No. 4 Patrick Cantlay and made his way to victory at the Shriners Children’s Open by three shots!
It was Kim’s second win in his last four starts. He also won the Wyndham Championship to receive a full-time tour card. Kim was tied with Cantlay as both the players went towards the 18th hole. However, Cantlay hit a bad tee shot, and his second shot from the bush made it even worse for him. Kim said, “I got very lucky on the 18th, I’m not going to lie… Patrick played awesome and it was an honor to battle with him, and to come out on top, I feel very fortunate.”
