The Spanish golfer Jon Rahm has returned to the number one golf ranking position. In Sunday’s final round of the Genesis Invitational, the pro shot two-under 69. He beat the American pro Max Homa to finish 17 under and win his 10th PGA Tour title by two strokes. If it was any other player, securing such impressive victories under his belt would warrant an extravagant celebration. But not for Rahm.

Despite all these achievements, Rahm is focused on his family rather than celebrating success. He recently revealed his priority, which was not golf. The fans have reacted to his heartwarming statement.

The Instagram handle of Golf.com and Twitter handle of NUCLR GOLF posted a snippet of Rahm’s happiness. According to the Insta post, the Spaniard said, “I’m a good golfer, but I strive to be an even better dad and husband.” This heartfelt statement of Rahm ignited the comment section. Golf fans shared what they felt about the number one golfer’s decision.

One golf fan asked a question, saying, “This guy went from grumpy and kinda unlikable before he had kids. How can you not pull for this dude now?” He further compared Rahm with Sergio Garcia, saying, “He seems like a much better version of Sergio Garcia. They also pointed out how Rahm has changed and said, “Didn’t know fatherhood and husbandry could be competitive, but hey, go get em, Rahm.” One of the fans pointed out the importance of fatherhood and said, “Being the best dad trumps everything. Jon Rahm, I applaud you 1 million percent.” The fans also mentioned why the 2020 Memorial Tournament winner is liked. “I’m glad he controls his anger on the course. He’s become far more likable now.”
