Paige Spiranac is a former professional golfer turned social media influencer. Her feminine style and appearance had attracted many while she was still playing as a professional. However, did you know that she got the inspiration from another LPGA player? 

Spiranac revealed her inspiration in life and sports recently on her podcast ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee’. She was answering one of the questions of her audience, who asked her about her idol. 

“I remember seeing Natalie Gulbis for the first time, and she was wearing the cutest outfit, and I wanted to be like her,” said Paige. The former pro explained that she saw Gulbis at the Cherry Hills golf club, which was hosting the Women’s U. S. Open. 

Spirananc explained that she also was interested in playing golf. But she despised the baggy clothes the other LPGA golfers used to wear. However, watching Guulbis play in stylish-looking clothes made her understand that it is not illegal to wear them on the course. “She is like a mentor to me,” Spiranac added.

Natalie Gulbis is an American professional golfer who joined the tour in 2002. She had won the Evian Masters in 2007, the only championship win of her LPGA career. She was also part of the Team USA three times at the Solheim Cup event, all of which they have won.

Gulbis may not have won much, but for Spiranac, she is her inspiration. As Spiranac mentioned before, a person doesn’t have to win many trophies to become a mentor but spends time making the world a better place for everyone else. And for her, Gulbis has been that one person who made her life better.

Spiranac explained that watching Gulbis dress in feminine clothes made her comfortable and confident in her own skin. She added that she still asks for advice from Gulbis, as they have kept in touch. “She just gives me the confidence to like, be myself,” the former pro golfer further added. 

The 28-year-old further added that Gulbis even gives her advice in her business ventures, as she is a businesswoman. “She, again, is just been a role model for mine, someone that I look up to,” Spiranac said. 

As a professional golfer, Spiranac used to stand out for her dressing styles. Natalie Gulbis gave her confidence to dress comfortably as she was one of the pioneers to do so. Hence the golfer still considers her as her mentor, to whom she still goes for advice.
