Nelly Korda explained how her sister helped her stay calm

The American professional golfer is counted among the top women golfers across the globe today. However, she also has a sister in the same field, who adds up to the competition according to Korda. She once talked about how playing with her sister Jessica helps her stay calm and focused at the same time.

Jessica is five years older than Nelly Korda, however, the younger sister is higher in the world rankings. Korda mentioned that playing around with her sister added pressure on her to play better, and that helped her perform better! “When Jessica and I compete separately, I miss that scrutiny…like a part of me is missing…and that actually adds to the pressure”. Korda said.

She also said that playing golf with her sister made her feel like she had an advantage on the field. Korda stated that her sister watches over her game and provides assistance whenever required. And that has helped the player find comfort on the field during any tournament.

Does playing as competitors impact the relationship between the Korda sisters?

Despite being in the same field, Nelly Korda has never felt jealous or insecure about her sister and her game. In fact, Korda has used her sister’s presence on the field to her advantage. “Having my sister there always makes me feel more comfortable,” she said. “With any challenge, you need to work out how to turn the negative into a positive”.

She also talked about how Jessica is the one who inspires her at the end of the day. In her opinion, she is proud to have achieved so much with Jessica as her sister. Korda said that the fact that they play together helps them push each other to higher limits. No matter what the fans believe, there is no doubt about the fact that the two are fully dedicated to growing in the field together.
