Ludvig Aberg, the defending champion of the RSM Classic, will be in action to defend his title. The Swedish pro has bagged no victory this season but was close to winning three times. He finished runner-up in the BMW Championship, Masters Tournament, and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. To win his first for this season and defend the title, the professional will be in action at the Sea Island Resort – Plantation Course from November 21-24, 2024.

But there is something more interesting about his appearance at the RSM Classic. It is the stats for Aberg’s last RSM Classic. He dominated the tournament with just a driver and delivered some of the best shots. The Swedish golfer was the only player to hit the greens in the 5th hole, that too twice. It would be interesting to check what Ludvig Aberg carries in his bag and understand his thinking for the game.

What Ludvig Aberg carries in his bag?

Aberg during an interview with Skratch shared that, if you want to win a tournament, you need to be a little more aggressive, I think. When shown data from the previous RSM Classic, he agreed and said could do that every week. Aberg was ranked 6th in driving accuracy and 2nd in driving distance.

Definitely, the driver is definitely the key to his performance. He uses the Titleist TSR2 driver along with a TaylorMade Stealth 2 3-wood and a 5-wood. With easy driving of more than 400 yards, the golfer relied on his driver, which is 45.5 inches long and has a head size of 460cc. Fitted with an Aldila Rogue M-AX Shaft and a 9-degree loft angle, fits well with his style.

Even for better distance coverage, the professional uses Titleist T-MB 718 iron. This club is known for its versatile performance and unique design. Great for hitting more distance, which Aberg really prefers. This iron is great for professionals who prefer high swing speed.

To get the best precision in shots, the golfer uses Titleist Vokey SM9. The wedge is available in 3 loft angles, i.e., 50, 54, and 60 degrees suiting the style of the players. It is paired with the KBS Tour 130X shaft, which makes it a versatile option for short games. The wedge offers great spin and trajectory control, making it a great option for getting to the hole.

For the final shot, he relies on a 343-gram sturdy putter that is famous for great consistency and perfect alignment. Aberg uses the Odyssey Works Versa 1 having a 3-degree loft and a 70-degree lie angle. With a unique design of a heel-toe weighted blade and a crank-neck hosel. It’s a great putter for the best precision shots and conversions.

To make it all perfect for him, he uses the Titleist 2023 Pro V1 ball, which is famous for its durability and high gradient core design. As per the preference of the Aberg, the ball offers higher flight and faster swing while maintaining spin levels.
