‘Absolute Gentleman’- Golf World Reacts to Jon Rahm’s Incredibly Heartwarming Gesture at European Tour Event

Jon Rahm has a reputation that he sometimes gets angry on course. On several occasions, he has let his emotions get the better of him after an unsatisfactory shot and, hence, the reputation. However, Rahm is undoubtedly one of the sweetest golfers off the course.

At the recently concluded Open De Espana, Rahm finished T-17 with a score of 13-under par, much to the dismay of the crowd. Fellow Spaniard Rafa Cabrera Bello won the title by defeating Adri Arnaus in the playoff.

However, Rahm was still a favorite among the crowd and was spotted interacting with them. Patiently, he stood for a while to sign caps and golf balls for the children.

Jon Rahm charms twitter with this sweet gesture

The Spanish crowds love him, and he made sure to pay them his respect. Moreover, the US Open winner completely won over the crowd.

For a long time, Rahm stood in front of a queue of children, giving away autographs and clicking photographs. Additionally, in an extremely sweet gesture, he said, “I’m going to sign all the children, no matter how long it takes.”

And it is important to note that Rahm was once a part of the crowd himself! Yes, pictures of a young Rahm getting his t-shirt signed were posted on Twitter. Hence, he clearly knows how much a couple of minutes’ attention means to a young fan.

His behavior with the crowd completely charmed fans on Twitter. Amongst a huge list of praises, some of them said-

This tournament holds a special place for the Spaniard who has studied and lived in the US for the most part of his career. Talking about the love he receives from the Spanish fans, he said, “I’m not used to seeing any of that. So, I realized you know how much I mean to the Spanish crowd and, you know, how much they mean to me.”

Finally, the 2-time-winner of the tournament revealed that the love he receives from the fans is what motivates him to return every year. He said, “That’s why I keep coming every year and try to make them proud.”
