The year 2022 was certainly a great year for PGA Tour star Justin Thomas. He won his second major championship last year. But that wasn’t the highlight of Thomas’ year at all. In November last year, the golf pro tied the knot with his fiancée, Jillian Wisniewski. In a recent interview, he revealed just how much golf knowledge his wife possessed.

Not only did he win his 15th Tour event, but JT also took home his second Wanamaker trophy. But his happiest moment probably came surrounded by friends and family, standing in front of his wife.

Justin Thomas claims his wife knows the perfect amount of golf

The couple were engaged in 2021 and finally got married last year in a private wedding ceremony. But like many other athletes, JT married outside the sports community. This left the media and the fans intrigued as to how much Wisniewski knew about JT’s work.

As per Golf,com, recently, Thomas claims, “Her golf, her level of golf knowledge is perfect.” But the golf pro’s definition of perfection wasn’t what the media expected. He explained that his wife knew enough about the sport and nothing more or less. “Just enough and not too much,” he said.

He added that just recently he had to explain to her some golf terms too. Thomas said while he was texting Wisniewski during the pro-am of the Sentry Tournament, he mentioned that it was a cart path only event, and she didn’t know what that meant. JT stated, “She asked: What is cart path only? So I had to explain cart path only to her.” 

Thomas stated that when they first met, she knew nothing about the sport. “So her level of golf knowledge was very low,” he said. But JT loved the effort his wife had put in. “She’s learning,” he said, describing her golf knowledge as “absolutely perfect.”

How did JT meet his wife?

Thomas was born and brought up in Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States. Having lived there for the majority of his life, most of his friends were from there, studying at the University of Kentucky. “Whenever I would go back home, I would visit my friends at UK,” he said. And his wife went there too.

“She went to college with all my friends at Kentucky, and that’s how I met her,” explained JT. She was always with his friends, so meeting her was inevitable. He stated, “She was best friends with all my best friends.” And soon one thing led to another, and many years later, the couple is happily married.
