The Australian golfer has reached an important financial milestone on the PGA Tour, becoming the seventh player in history to earn more than $60 million on the course. The 42-year-old reached this feat at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, where he played all four rounds at the Kapalua Plantation Course and earned at least $200,000.

This brought his career earnings to over $60 million, cementing his place in history. Scott came into the tournament with $59,873,599 in career earnings from 369 starts.

According to an article in Golf Digest, Scott has earned the most money per win, with an average of $4,276,685.64 (not including his earnings from the Sentry Tournament of Champions). He has also achieved the fourth-highest money won per start, at roughly $162,259 for each of his 369 events.

Next in Line for the $60 Million Club

The PGA Tour has seen a significant increase in prize money payouts for 13 “elevated” events in 2023. With payouts reaching up to $20 million, this presents an opportunity for golfers to achieve financial career milestones.

Currently, Justin Rose and Matt Kuchar are close to hitting the $60 million mark and could reach it with some strong performances. Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas are also contenders to join the $60 million club in the future with standout seasons.

However, Sergio Garcia will not be able to join the club as he has resigned from his PGA Tour membership and joined LIV Golf. The other players in the $60 million club include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Jordan Spieth, and Rory McIlroy.
