Tiger Woods has been going through a rough patch since his near-fatal accident in February 2021. Doctors had to put a rod in his right leg to stabilize multiple fractures. Since then, he went to rehab to recover and returned to Masters 2022 at Augusta after 14 months. He did not win, but his fans were happy to see him back on the golf course.

However, the latest announcement by the former number-one golfer left every fan in shock. Earlier, Woods announced he would play at the Hero World Challenge and host the event. But yesterday, it shattered fans’ hopes when he announced on Twitter that he wouldn’t play at the event due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Before the event, the pro attended the conference and poured his heart out about the painful journey of injuries.

What does Tiger Woods think about his recent injury?

The reporter asked him if it was easy withdrawing his name from the event due to injury. Woods said it was a tough decision for him because he wanted to be part of the event as a player. He likes playing and can hit a golf ball perfectly. But the major championship winner is not able to walk. He believes he left many setbacks behind him, but this one is not in his hands; only time and rest can help. The golfer said, “But this one, I just can’t I just only time can heal this one and stay off my feet and get a lot of treatment done.”

Since walking hurts and his current foot injury is related to other former injuries, will Woods be able to play competitive golf? Playing 72 holes can be a tough job for him, as he is unable to walk without pain. Doctors have suggested that he rest. When one has plantar fasciitis, the only thing that can be done is rest and trying to stretch out as best as possible.

Now the question arises that hosting an event takes much walking; how is the PGA star managing? The week will be tough on the golfer; however, the upcoming events will be accessible. Woods said that the PNC championship would be easier as Charlie would hit all the shots, and the pro will get the plus out of the hole. 

Where is the PNC Championship taking place?

The most awaited father-son event in golf, the PNC championship, will occur from December 15 to December 18. Charlie Woods and his father will play at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes, Florida.

Last year, Woods and his son finished second after John Daly and his son. Fans are excited to watch whether G.O.A.T. can take home the trophy with his son. Only time will tell.
