One of the most followed golfing entities on social media, she is largely credited for her posts revolving around the sport. However, apart from her golf interest, she is also known for her opinions…opinions, that often make it to the headlines.

Spiranac enjoys the pleasure of being referred to as a golf influencer. However, her views and thoughts often branch out from the game to other walks of life. In February this year, Spiranac took to her social media handle, taking a dig at Brittany Mathews and Jackson Mahomes, wife and brother of NFL star, Patrick Mahomes. However, six months after the dig, the former golfing pro recently issued an apology to the Mahomes family.

Paige Spiranac apologizes to the Mahomes family
Along with her social media presence, Spiranac is also known for her engaging podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee’. Kicking off in February 2020, the podcast today caters to a colossal group of listeners with its 100+ episodes. Considering the overwhelming love from her fans, Spiranac recently came up with the 113th episode, titled ‘Cicadas, End of Tour & Football!’

During the podcast, she opened up about her feud with the family of Patrick Mahomes, issuing an apology for her words. “I’m going to sell on Patrick Mahomes this year,” she said. “I feel really bad for saying that because I have been a hater of them of the Mahomes family and I really want to apologize for that because I am better than that.”

Going ahead, she further added, “I do not want to be a family hater. I think that’s like the low of the low so I’m coming out and apologizing for that.”

Waking down memory lane, in February, Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs lost to Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC Championship game. Following the loss, Paige took to her Twitter handle, putting up a Tweet about Patrick Mahomes. In the Tweet, the 29-year-old took a dig at Mahomes’s wife and brother’s Tik-Tok obsession.
“Patrick Mahomes is down bad. Imagine losing today and then having to go home to Jackson and Brittany making TikToks,” she wrote. Spreading in no time, the Tweet soon ignited a controversy in the sporting world, with fans calling out Paige for her words.
