The 2023 golf season is nearing its twilight. Currently, the most buzzing topic of the cosmos is undoubtedly the team event on both sides—the Ryder Cup and the Solheim Cup. Considering the patriotic factor of both tournaments, it is only palpable for supporters and promoters to bask in this energy as well.

Hence, when the $147.28 billion giants came forth to showcase their succor for this very spirit of the game, it was bound to turn into an eye-catching “aesthetic”. While it was the American side that first received this esteem from the big brand, it is the European team’s turn to shine their colors with $160 apparel.

European team bestowed with the perfect ‘homage’ from Nike

The fall of the year in the golf community has ignited the ethos of a patriotic statement. Both the male and female golfers will sideline the individualistic gameplay and embrace the team spirit. However, this also implies one more thing; the break out of shades of yellow as professionals and fans take their respective sides.

With the anticipation surrounding the Ryder Cup, the billion-dollar company Nike came forth to create a customized $160 Air Max 1G for the European Team to adorn during the tournament. Leaning toward the “understated aesthetic” style of the brand, the European “homage” pair consisted of “crisp white hues.”

These brighten up the leather-clad base with grey overlays to provide a layered look to the shoes. It is the touch of the color yellow that provides a vibrant look to the footwear amidst the whole black-and-white inspired look. The bright color covers the inner lining and the full length of the mudguard.

With the symbol of golf inside the shoes, it has the worthy message of “Prestige, Tradition, Passion” included on the inner side. However, it was the American side who first got treated to the USA-inspired outfit including the “Air Max 1’s golf-centric tooling.”

The aired colors of yellow and blue evoke the vibrant blend of red, blue, and white

As the European team welcomes its shades of blue and yellow, it is inevitable to miss the release of red, blue, and white just days prior to this. First to enkindle the Ryder Cup pneuma was the Nike Air Max 1 as it endowed homage to the American side of the tournament. Supporting the shared mantra of “Prestige, Tradition, Passion”, the red-metallic footwear couldn’t help but break out in American colors.

Unlike the aesthetic color combination of European apparel, the US-color-based theme centered around the country’s mixture of navy blue, off-white, and bright red. Additionally, the shoes endorse not only support for the Ryder Cup players but also for Solheim Cup professionals.

In fact, Nelly Korda was also appreciating the blend of colors last week, though in her favorite pairs of Nike Air Jordan 1. Showcasing the customized addition of U.S.A under the usual Nike logo, the appeal of the footwear increased tenfold. Even though there is no particular date on when the tournament-centric sneakers might be released, the anticipation is bound to be high.
