Webb Simpson, a fellow Wake Forest alumni, confirmed the title for Young. Before the CJ Cup, he walked into the media center with Arnold Palmer Trophy, right between Young’s press conference at Congaree Golf Club. There was the best part about this whole announcement of the Rookie. His peers chose Young as Rookie of the Year, and he received the most votes.
