Twenty-five years old Cameron Young has been the talk of the town since a new announcement made by the official account of ‘Golf Digest’. He is the sensation and is now in every headline. The golf world has got a new rising golfer with a promising future. Golf has always been important for Young. All his focus goes into improving his form techniques and swings. 

This season, his motto was to grab his maiden victory on the PGA Tour. And today, he is the golfer people are talking about the most. Yes, the newbie golfer achieved greatly in his career yesterday. It is the time for celebrations for him. The sport has received a new star.

Is Cameron Young the future of golf?

They revealed one of the most wanted secrets of the golf world on Wednesday. Cameron Young was awarded the PGA Tour’s 2022 Rookie of the Year. Webb Simpson, a fellow Wake Forest alumni, confirmed the title for Young. Before the CJ Cup, he walked into the media center with Arnold Palmer Trophy, right between Young’s press conference at Congaree Golf Club. There was the best part about this whole announcement of the Rookie. His peers chose Young as Rookie of the Year, and he received the most votes.

It is no surprise as Young has had an incredible record. The American golfer has seven top-3 finishes of the 2021-22 season registered under his name. The golfer had a proud moment when Simpson handed him the bronze trophy. He said, “From one Deacon to another, congratulations Cam.” Simpson, Young, and the last year’s Rookie, Will Zalatoris, are all alumni of Wake Forest University.

After receiving the trophy, it is not hard to imagine that Young was on the ninth cloud, which was visible in his words. He said, “Well, it’s very special.” Young went on appreciating the namesake, the late Arnold Palmer. Young has colossal respect for Palmer, and it was a proud moment for him to receive the trophy. He said Palmer was a golfing giant and should be thanked for all he had given to the sport.
