Up until last month, Trump was all set to host the upcoming Open Championship in July at his Turnberry Golf Course in Scotland. But the R&A soon crushed this precious dream of his when they denied the permission to hold the event at any of Donald’s courses stating security reasons. Prior to that, Trump also suffered a big disappointment last year when the 2022 PGA Championship which was scheduled for his Trump National Golf Club, Bedminster, New Jersey was canceled as venue. The reason that was given was that he had played an active role in the storming of the US Capitol a year ago.
