The 2023 PGA Championship proved to be one of the most unexpected major events. The event was not just for the big guns; numerous unknown players were also able to capture the minds and hearts of the golf fans. Michael Block, who showed his brilliance at Oak Hill, is one of those players. Having tied for 15th on Sunday, the PGA pro was one of the biggest sensations at the major.

Since then, the 46-year-old has gained notoriety. While the PGA Club pro’s professional career is undoubtedly going to rise going forward, he is also making a name for himself in Hollywood. There are undoubtedly many predictions about his future among all of this.

What lies ahead for Michael Block?

Block surely came as an unknown to the 105th PGA Championship! However, the 46-year-old did not leave the major championship that way. The Californian club pro has surely amassed a lot of attention and fans due to his magic on the greens at Oak Hill. Amid this, Block’s future remains a big question.

Block posted rounds of 70, 70, 70, and 71 at the second major of the year. The total score of 281 was enough to secure him 15th place. The 46-year-old left Oak Hill with a win of $288,333. His epic performance at Oak Hill has undoubtedly caught the attention of LIV Golf, along with the rest of the golf world. Thus, there is certainly a possibility that the Saudi-funded league might come knocking on his door.

And perhaps the fact that Block does not hold a PGA Tour membership may make things easier. Moving to LIV Golf would also be easy on the 46-year-old’s pocket considering the confirmed money the event offers and its no-cut events.

Moreover, there are two situations for Block: play on the PGA Tour or join LIV Golf. Of course, nothing of this sort has happened yet, but one thing is certain: the PGA Championship sensation’s career is now in the limelight of the public and will certainly see tons of change! And it’s already begun with him receiving an invite to the PGA Tour’s Charles Schwab Challenge this weekend too.

Michael Block’s fame may take to TV

The 46-year-old’s heroics at the second major of the year undoubtedly amazed everybody. This does not apply only to the fans and other players. However, it goes way beyond the golf world and straight to Hollywood.

After the PGA Championship ended on Sunday, there have been a lot of big headlines regarding Block. One of them is his chances of getting featured on Netflix’s golf documentary “Full Swing”. Recently, Dan Rapaport took to his Twitter handle and posted some revelations around Block’s appearance in the Netflix Fame documentary. The tweet read: “Netflix was all over the Michael Block story. I’m sure that Full Swing episode might elicit a tear or two.”

With this tweet, it surely seems that the PGA Championship sensation may just be featured in the next season of Netflix’s golf documentary. With his fame now going to Hollywood too, people surely have their own ideas about his future.
