Retired NBA star J. R. Smith, who is playing college golf for North Carolina, cannot help but admire the PGA Tour legend’s greatness.

Why does J. R. Smith want to play with Tiger Woods next?

While on the All The Smoke podcast with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, Smith started by speaking of his time playing golf with Chicago Bulls legend and six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan.

When asked about another star he wants to play with, Woods was the unsurprising answer. “That’s the goal right there… To me, he is obviously the greatest ever. To be able to learn from him,” Smith said.

In the end, Smith hopes picking Woods‘ brain will help him get better at the game. “It’ll be a great four hours, I feel.”

Smith reiterated the fact that Woods is the greatest, especially for all that he has done. In the end, the 46-year-old has overcome so much on the course itself, that Smith would love to speak about it.

While Smith is currently focusing on his golf, Woods is back on the course at The Masters.

Woods played the PNC Championship with his son Charlie late last year, finishing second. However, that did not confirm his participation at Augusta National.
