After Their Wild Marriage, Greg Norman and Chris Evert’s Ex-Spouses Swallowed the Betrayal With an Emotional 5-Word Admission

Greg Norman has been on the news ever since he came up with the ever-growing LIV Golf league. However, he was once in the headlines for other reasons, and they were nowhere related to his profession.

Norman was heavily scrutinized by fans after his controversial divorce from ex-wife Laura Andrassy. Moreover, Andrassy also came forward to explain how shocking everything was to her regarding Norman and his new wife, Chris Evert.

Laura Andrassy talked about the ‘strange’ relationship between Greg Norman and Chris Evert

Norman met Andrassy when she was working as a flight attendant. The two eventually fell in love and married in July 1981. Their marriage lasted for nearly two decades but got divorced in 2006. And according to Andrassy, the real culprit behind her divorce from the golfer was tennis star, Chris Evert.

Andrassy has talked about how Evert came between the two and how Norman fell for his best friend’s wife over a fishing trip. But she once opened up about how the whole story between Norman and Evert was strange for her to look at. According to Andrassy, her ex-husband and Chris Evert were two “narcissistic” people. “The whole thing was strange. They say opposites attract,” she said. “Here were two people very much alike – high profile and narcissistic people – and that would make a relationship difficult.”

Norman’s then-best friend Andy Mill was married to Chris Evert when the two couples went on a fishing trip together. And according to Andrassy, that is when the things between the two started. “I have not been too involved in it. Well, it didn’t come as a surprise,” she said.

She also mentioned talking to Mill about the situation when she found out about it. “I said to Andy (Mill – Chris Evert’s ex-husband) when I spoke to him today, ‘It’s like a bad movie’ – and we’re in it!,” she recalled.

What was Andrassy’s reaction to this situation?

After getting a divorce from Norman, Andrassy tried to keep herself out of the picture. Although she wanted to make things work with Norman and their marriage, the golfer had decided to part ways. And so, Andrassy knew she had to make peace with the situation. “It doesn’t have anything to do with me, now,” she said. “Greg has his own life and so do I. I am just sorry for all the children involved.”
