The ancient city of Rome has been full of excitement for the past two days. With competition brewing to the end, the players on both sides haven’t left any stone unturned in trying to energize the crowd. Alas! It has been the home team—Europe—that has been able to execute its dominance over the guests from the West. Currently, the scoreboard vouches for this command with a total of 9.5-2.5.

Now, with the Saturday four balls in, it looks like the Americans have some statement to make if they want to create history on foreign soil. But, just like any other event, even the Ryder Cup seems to be full of ups and downs. And these downs for the US side seem to have become a source of frustration for the lovers of the game. This interestingly also includes a name who is closely tied to not only the Queen of the Court—Serena Williams—but also holds good rapport with golf star, Tiger Woods.

In a recent tweet by the former Reddit Chairman, Alexis Ohanian, the anticipation of the Ryder Cup glory for America looks to be at its peak everywhere. Captioning the post, “So this is my personality now,” Ohanian shared a snippet of his television displaying the live biennial tournament. His comment was a direct indication of how the event has kept everyone, including the businessman on the edge of his seat.

Further, the golf enthusiast had added a message of encouragement for his home team, US, writing, “C’mon USA! Turn this around.” The written words seemed to be an indication of the overall setup of the scoreboard, where the Europeans have been thoroughly dominant over the Americans.

However, his message also seemed to be particularly for the scene shown on his screen. It was the moment when the European star Robert Maclntyre had scored a stunning birdie on the 6th hole, leaving no chance for the pair of Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth to maintain their lead on the board.

Where the score in the afternoon fourballs appears to be in favor of Team USA, the overall scorecard defines the exact opposite story. However, this is not the first time Serena Williams’ partner has shown interest in the game of golf. The mere inclusion of his name in association with the TGL and its inaugural team proves how invested Alexis Ohanian is in the sport of club and ball.

While it is no news that the entrepreneur and businessman Alexis Ohanian has been a prominent part of TGL, his respect for Tiger Woods goes far beyond that. Not long ago, the 40-year-old had announced along with Serena Williams and Venus Williams the big news of his investment in the Los Angeles Golf Club, one of the teams of the upcoming league.

Recently, the team has also welcomed the addition of soccer star Alex Morgan. Now, while these big names surely address the authenticity of the Tiger Woods-Rory McIlroy-initiated league, its features just double the appeal of the franchise. Thanks to Ohanian who has kept the viewers updated through his social media platform, the fans got to know, “Y’all aren’t ready for how glorious the live mic on @tglgolf will be in January.”

Additionally, while showcasing the 15-time PGA Tour winner’s instruction video, the Reddit co-founder clearly appeared to be excited about the January inauguration of the techno-based league. He also addressed the fact that Woods was himself using one of the features that is supposed to be included in the TGL event.
