Danielle Kang shares cool Pebble Beach update with fans

Almost a couple of weeks after the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, some of the best lady golfers will tee up at the famed Pebble Beach as it hosts the year’s US Women’s Open for the first time. Among them will be San Fransisco-born Danielle Kang, who has never won the title before.

The tournament plays a huge role in the 30-year-old’s career. Touted as a child prodigy, Kang made her grand entry on the golf circuit after qualifying for the US Women’s Open as a 14-year-old back in 2007.

However, she has failed to secure victory in her fourteen starts at the event so far. Her best finish remains a solo fourth spot in the 2018 edition.

Happening at one of the most iconic golf courses in the world, a win here could be career-defining for Kang. Thus, she has taken other than her traditional route to prepare for the challenges of the course, which included the help of a game simulator.

Kang plays EA Sports PGA TOUR at Pebble Beach

The two-time US Women’s Amateur winner played golf on the newly launched EA Sports PGA TOUR video game. Playing virtually on the Pebble Beach course, Kang had a fun time with the controller in her hand.

The video took social media by storm, with fans clamoring for her. “That’s fantastic I’ve been playing the golf simulators for years, love it,” one said. “so excited for this week to watch you. The video game is crazy cool!” said another.

Likewise, some celebrity names also popped up on Kang’s post. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, husband of tennis legend Serena Williams, commented, “vibes,” along with clapping emojis. The 40-year-old entrepreneur has spoken about his admiration for AI and gaming technology before.

Additionally, Kang’s gaming experience was appreciated by South Korean actor Byeong Eun Park. The ‘Alchemy of Souls’ actor commented in Korean, which translated to “Wow~~that’s cool!!!”
