The tournament plays a huge role in the 30-year-old’s career. Touted as a child prodigy, Kang made her grand entry on the golf circuit after qualifying for the US Women’s Open as a 14-year-old back in 2007.
However, she has failed to secure victory in her fourteen starts at the event so far. Her best finish remains a solo fourth spot in the 2018 edition.
Happening at one of the most iconic golf courses in the world, a win here could be career-defining for Kang. Thus, she has taken other than her traditional route to prepare for the challenges of the course, which included the help of a game simulator.
