Tommy Fleetwood
Tommy Fleetwood, with his recent performances, will likely be a top pick for any tournament he enters. The golfer broke his long-term PGA Tour win drought at the TOUR Championship and maintained that form. In fact, the Englishman, defying the odds, showcased his A-game at the Ryder Cup, achieving a 4-1-0 record and contributing 80% of the team’s points.

Interestingly, the 34-year-old has been close to victory twice but couldn’t seal the deal. In 2024, he finished third, while in 2018, he was a runner-up. But now with his form peaking, Fleetwood will be aiming to add another DP World Tour win and his first at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Tyrrell Hatton
Up next on the list is Tyrrell Hatton. The three-time Alfred Dunhill winner has recently showcased his dominance at Bethpage Black. Hatton, with four sessions, recorded zero loss. He straight-up won the team matches and then continued his streak with a tie against Collin Morikawa. Interestingly, the LIV golfer has achieved multiple top-5 finishes this season, and the most recent came at the BMW PGA Championship, showcasing his exceptional form.
With great past results and ongoing form, Hatton will be in a confident spot to add another victory this season. Earlier this season, he won the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
Matt Fitzpatrick
Matt Fitzpatrick, who played the weekend at Bethpage Black as a captain’s pick, has struggled with his form. In 2025, the golfer faced multiple missed cuts and failed to reach the top-10 spots. However, as the season progressed, he showcased a comeback and then achieved 5 top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour schedule. Interestingly, he continued that consistency on the DP World Tour as well.
With three event participations on the DP World Tour before the Ryder Cup, Fitzpatrick achieved two fifth-place finishes and a sixth-place finish. Additionally, he achieved a remarkable record of 2-1-1 at the Ryder Cup, putting him in a strong position to secure his first win of the 2025 season.
Patrick Reed
‘Captain America’ failed to be a part of the Ryder Cup team, but he has showcased his dominance on the course. The 35-year-old achieved a great result on the LIV schedule, adding a win at the LIV Golf Dallas and multiple top-10 finishes. Later, at the DP World Tour, too, Patrick Reed dominated the entire European Team before the Ryder Cup. He finished T3 at the BMW PGA Championship overall, among the Ryder Cup players.
Now, with playing against some of them, it will be interesting to see if he can repeat that feat.
Marco Penge
The Englishman Marco Penge was among the most deserving golfers to be at the Ryder Cup, but he failed to make it to the team with a 14th-place finish on the Ryder Cup standings. However, the result that Penge has achieved this year is astonishing. On the PGA Tour, he had the best finish of T2 at the Genesis Scottish Open.

For the rest of the season, he played on the DP World Tour, where he added two wins, namely the Hainan Classic and the Danish Golf Championship. Other than this, he was third at the Investec SA Open Championship and T6 at the Betfred British Masters.
