Apart from two major wins, John Daly might not have had any massive success on the tour. However, despite that, the 56-year-old has still made sure to become one of the most fan-loved players in the golf world. An accomplishment, which has a major contribution from his fancy outfits.

Ever since his debut on the tour, Daly has been known for his strong drives. However, seeing the other side of the coin, he is also known for his class apart outfits, both on course and off the course. Walking down memory lane, in 2006, Daly was featured in an American talk show. During the conversation, he opened up about his opinions on dress codes at a golf course while also talking about the only dress code at his golf course.

Conversing with Daly, renowned talk show host, Conan O’Brien inquired about his views on the dress codes at golf courses. Adding a sense of wit to his answer, Daly, pointing toward the tie of O’Brien, said, “I think someone’s got a thumb in my throat when I wear one of them things.

While the audience shared a loud laugh at his answer, more was yet to come. Going ahead in the conversation, Conan O’Brien asked Daly about the dress code followed at his golf course.

Going back in time, in 2005, Daly bought the Lion’s Den Golf Course in the state of Arkansas. Originally the Bay Ridge Boat & Golf Club, the club possesses a massive 6036-yard 72-par golf course.

Responding to Brien’s question, Daly swallowed a pill of humor, taking another dig at Brien. “If you wear a tie, you’re kicked out. If you wear slacks, you’re kicked out,” he said. “Basically, all you gotta do is cover your private parts and you can play at my golf course,” he further added.

Similar to the previous answer, Daly’s response left the entire studio in splits.

Several years since the interview, Daly might have worked on his outfits on the golf course. Amongst his favorite outfits is being all decked up in the American flag.
