Being one of the most popular sports stars in the world has its perks. However, when Tiger Woods, an American household name, planned to open up a restaurant, he decided to not make use of that privilege. Nevertheless, after naming it ‘The Woods- Jupiter’, it just wasn’t that big of a secret anymore, was it?

Wondering why he didn’t use his first name instead? Well, apparently Woods was not allowed to use his entire name as Nike ‘has the rights to the name Tiger Woods.’ Now, this upscale sports bar has, unsurprisingly, become the hub for the posh community residing in Jupiter, Florida.

Where is Tiger Woods’ restaurant?

Located in Harbourside Place, Jupiter, Florida, the 8000-square foot restaurant is an upscale dining place for which Woods forked out a staggering $8 million. As the official website states, it is “envisioned as a place where friends and family could come together to relax and refuel.” Erica Herman, Woods’ girlfriend since 2017, is the manager of the place.

Nicholas Mastroianni, the developer, said, “He’s [Tiger] got marble from Italy, granite from another country.” In addition, Woods himself said that the plan was to create a place where “people can meet friends, watch sports on TV and enjoy a great meal.”

Moreover, in his attempt to keep it from attracting audience simply young to his name, Tiger said, “Most of the people who are close to me were surprised that I didn’t want my face associated with it. I just didn’t think it needed that. I wanted it to stand out on its own merit. I didn’t want it to be that people were going there because it’s my restaurant.”

In terms of reviews, it was a bag of mixed comments on various websites. Some thought the place was too expensive, while others claimed that the food and services did justice to the prices.

However, one customer on TripAdvisor was, absolutely ecstatic by the experience. Here is what she has to say, “Don’t miss this place. Absolutely fabulous. The most awesome sports bar I have ever been at. Not your typical sports bar food. More like five star restaurant… Little pricier then most restaurants in area but you get what you pay for. This would be my choice once or twice a week if I lived closer.”
