Adam Scott opens up about his first time playing with Tiger Woods

Adam Scott is a part of the field this week at the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Moreover, the Australian professional is a known face in the sport and is a 14 time PGA Tour winner. However, the 41-year-old professional recently appeared on the PGA Tour Radio before the Players Championship.

Adam spoke about Tiger Woods’s induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame and about a fascinating story about playing with Tiger for the first time after turning professional.

In the intriguing interview, Scott spoke about how he almost reconsidered turning pro after playing with woods for the first time. He said, “The first time I played with him, I just decided to turn pro I was still an amateur I guess but it was the Sunday before the US Open at Pebble Beach in 2000.”

And we played at a course in Las Vegas called Rio Seiko, but he was flew into town to just kind of tune-up for Pebble Beach. And Bush said you can play with Tiger this afternoon if he plays some holes, and we went out and played.”

He added, “And I almost reconsidered turning pro because it was just it was so ridiculous.” Well, anybody can feel the same way after seeing Tiger play, you are not alone Scott.

Woods wins 2000 US Open

On the business end, back in 2000, Tiger won the US Open in an emphatic fashion. The 46-year-old professional truly dominated the tough Pebble Beach. Woods won the event with an overall score of 12-under-par, as a result, won the event with a whopping 15 stroke lead. He carded a final round 67, four-under-par on his route to victory.
