Kyle Berkshire gets candid about the future of the PGA Tour players

The 2020 PLDA National Championship believes that speed is key. “We will see a time within the next one to two years where the average ball speed on tour will eclipse 180 mph,” he stated. “It’s already getting close to that; it’s like 176, 177.” But he believes that will need to improve.

The two-time World Long Drive Championship winner can certainly hit the ball far enough, but how fast does it go? Well, just two months ago, Berkshire broke the record for ball speed. He recorded a speed of 236.2 mph on a TrackMan simulator. This was the highest speed ever recorded on a simulator.

The golfer can also drive the ball really far. His career-best is a whopping 474-yard drive. This was longer than even his 2021 win, where he drove the ball 422 yards to take home the title.
