When Ben Griffin was 16, he went to all of his tournaments solo. Both his parents were working, and Griffin had a dream of becoming a winner. That went on for a while until he met Dana Myeroff. Since then, no matter the result, the 29-year-old could be assured of a presence behind the ropes. Today, when he bagged his third PGA Tour victory, that presence was beside him. And as Griffin opened his heart out, thanking his fiancée, fans couldn’t help but get emotional.

Talking about Dana’s presence in every match, Griffin said, “Oh, it means everything. It’s so great to have her out here. It’s the world.” He then continues, with his voice shaking, “I am so excited to marry in four weeks. Getting closer, it’s crazy. Three wins and getting married in the same year — it’s hard to beat.”
For Dana, who has seen every struggle of Griffin, the appreciation was overwhelming. Wiping her tears, she spoke, “It’s amazing, I mean, he is so incredible and so fun to be along on the journey.”

The video, which is now making rounds on social media, has left fans warm and fuzzy. It’s not usual to see Ben Griffin being all emotional. The Tour world is well aware of his goofy and prankster nature.

Before this win at Cabo, Griffin had captured a victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside Andrew Novak and then a solo triumph in the Charles Schwab Challenge. Through all of them, Dana was at his side. Per her, she’s always been and will be Griffin’s “#1 fan.”

The couple began dating in April 2022, the same time that Griffin was coming back from his brief retirement. Being short on money had forced him to take a job as a loan officer, giving up his dream of golf. Dana worked as a business consultant, which is how the couple might have met in the first place. When he braved his fears and earned his PGA Tour card in August of 2022, Dana could not have been more proud. “PGA Tour here we come, baby,” she posted.
Two years later, Griffin proposed to her. The proposal was a surprise, as he was not supposed to be home that weekend. He had just missed the cut at a PGA Tour event. But Griffin, not letting the disappointment come through, arranged for a professional photographer to capture their memorable moments. “Forever,” Dana later wrote on her socials. “I can’t wait to marry my best friend.”

What makes all this more emotional is the final round of hardship. This was his second appearance after the Ryder Cup debut, and he performed in all his glory. He scored five-straight birdies, rolled a 40, and made a 25-footer, and made birdies on every par-3 hole, doing much justice to his father’s nickname for him. With such rare feats, Griffin keeps adorning his dream year.
And as he expresses his excitement for his upcoming wedding, fans can’t be more elated for him.

Fans reel in on Ben Griffin’s love story
Just a few hours ago, the official account of the PGA Tour posted this video, captioning it with a question: “Is 2025 the year of Ben Griffin? 🥹” Well, it could be. With a career-high rank of 9, Griffin has everything he could ask for. And at such a special time, his fans can’t help but be happy for him.
“Way to go, Ben. Great win today and so happy for you getting married in a month, just getting started, isn’t it good luck you’re doing great buddy🔥🔥🙌🙌❤️,” said one.
It indeed is good luck for Griffin. The win might have been hard to come through, but it was made possible because several notable people were absent from the field, especially Scottie Scheffler. These three wins could have been five, if not for the world number 1. Griffin himself admitted this, expressing his relief at Scheffler’s hiatus.

Lucky as he is, the video was a clear show of the love that exists between him and Dana Myeroff. Noticing the same, CBS reporter Amanda Balionis commented with a round of applause, “👏👏👏.”
Balionis has interviewed Griffin several times, including after his victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge. She even shared a few pictures of their interview, with a sweet and candid message which said, “Success often happens so slowly and then, if you’re lucky, can happen all at once…What a ride it’s been for Griffin and his people, who never gave up on the dream.” She then also interviewed him at the Memorial, where he had a solo second.
At the same time, PGA Tour Live Chantel McCabe typed for Griffin, “Love Benny G.”
Another fan said, “Dream team!! 👏” admiring the chemistry both Griffin and Dana share. The two have often been spotted together. They shared a kiss after Griffin’s final putt at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Then, recently, they were at the DP World India Championship’s Diwali celebration in New Delhi. The two stood out in their traditional attire, complementing each other.
“You guys should get married every year,” said another fan on the same note.
With their wedding just weeks away, the Cabo victory felt almost symbolic, another shared milestone before they officially begin married life.
