Sometimes it’s good for you to step out of your ‘comfort zone’, and Nelly Korda can back us up on this. The world No. 1 golfer recently posed for the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, a far cry from her usual turf on the golf course. “It was such an exciting shoot,” Korda said. “I think that’s what the shoot is about. I think that’s what life is about, also, sometimes challenging yourself.” Korda modelled several swimsuits and emphasized the importance of being a role model for younger women, encouraging them to “rock what they got.”

Korda admitted to initially feeling timid due to the unfamiliarity of posing in a swimsuit, but the experience ultimately proved to be a fun and empowering one. “I had such a great crew to work with and work alongside,” she said. “It was just so much fun.” As a role model, Korda recognizes the impact golf has had on her life and is proud to inspire the next generation. Well, Korda is certainly all giddy with this latest feat of hers and is not shy in expressing her feelings.

The LPGA superstar took it to Instagram to express her excitement about being featured in the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, calling it “A DREAM” and thanking everyone who helped make it happen, praising her crew for making the experience unforgettable. “Thank you to everyone that helped make this happen! #SISwim25” Her caption read: “✨✨A DREAM ✨✨ AHHHHHH 😱 so excited to be featured alongside so many fellow athletes and amazing women! 💗”

Netizens have forgotten Paige Spiranac after Nelly Korda’s latest photoshoot

Starting off strong with what one fan said, “To be this hot AND the best golfer in the world….. god has favorites”, while former golfer Jane Park encouraged Nelly Korda by saying, “The body is BODYING. Face card never declines😍.”  Well, this isn’t the first time Korda has stunned everyone with her ‘face card’ that never ‘declines’. In 2024, the LPGA star attended the Met Gala, dazzling in an Oscar de la Renta gown adorned with red flowers and green vines that perfectly fit the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme. The elegant off-shoulder design paired beautifully with a stunning necklace, completing her red-carpet look.

Another fan commented, “You are so beautiful and also such and inspiration!” Well, inspiration is a word that goes synonymous with Korda’s name. The world No. 1 had been dominating the LPGA Tour, with six wins in the first five months of the season, and her closest competitors drew motivation from her success. Hannah Green, a multiple winner that season, admired Korda’s ease on the course, saying, “She’s making the game look very easy.” Brooke Henderson was also inspired by Korda’s consistency, noting, “She’s been able to turn it over on all these weeks… it’s really very impressive.” Even rookies like Gabi Ruffels and seasoned players like Madelene Sagstrom were motivated to beat Korda, with Green adding, “If you beat her, you’re probably going to have the trophy in your hands.”

Even CBS’s Amanda Balionis was taken aback by Korda as she commented, “👏👏🔥” while Korda’s onw sister commented, Just 🙌🏻🥹🔥 just 🔥🔥🔥 perfect.” But that was not caught everyone’s attention as one fan decided to this opportunity to take a jab at Paige Spiranac, who is widely known for her amazing swimsuit photos. “Paige who? 😂”, the fan commented. But why are fans dragging Spiranac in this? Well, because only last year, the golf influencer also went viral for the same reason.

In 2024, Spiranac attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 60th-anniversary celebration in Hollywood, Florida, where she rocked a stunning look. Although she didn’t exactly walk a red carpet in South Florida, she did participate in the Legends photo shoot. Spiranac has been featured in Sports Illustrated before, debuting in 2018 with a photoshoot in Aruba. So, do you also agree that Korda’s photoshoot is better than Spiranac’s?
