Charlie Woods’ 2023 schedule amid Tiger Woods’ recovery break

Tiger Woods had an accident back in 2021, which sabotaged the golfer’s professional life drastically. His right leg was severely affected, which required emergency action, and he undertook surgery by inserting a rod into his tibia and screws and pins into his ankle. 

For some time, his health was fine, but during the Masters Tournament, the health situation got worse, and he had to step back from the major at Augusta National. The reason was the plantar fasciitis, which started bothering him again. Hence, the golf god took a major hiatus from golf completely and decided to rest. Now, lately, Woods is seen accompanying his son during the events Charlie participates in.

Though Tiger controls himself from the lure of greens, he caddies his son to the course. As Charlie’s next venture, he will make an appearance at the Notah Begay III Junior National Championship. Then, at the PNC Championship, the father and son duo is also likely to be seen.

If one considers their teenage days, Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods have a lot of similarities and differences. Tiger Woods had several accomplishments as a junior golfer at the age of 13 and had already made a name for himself. But he was lean. Charlie, however, is muscular and tall.

Tiger’s early swings consisted of hip rotations and leg breaks, but Charlie uses footwork and modern skills for much more effective putting. Of course, Woods teaches his son the best. And being the son that he is, Charlie quite carries off his father’s guidance well.
