The bizarre fashion of the Korean golfer amid the FedEx St. Jude Championship

The game on day 1 started a bit late because of the ensuing storm at TPC Southwind. Now, one of the golfers on the field, Tom Kim, has garnered the attention of people not because he fired an opening round of 64 on a bum ankle, but because of his weird style. In order to justify his action, the 21-year-old stated that he had to fold his white trousers to prevent them from getting wasted by the mud and that he didn’t have a lot of trousers in his wardrobe. 

After the second round, the golfer was having a media conference. There, he was asked if he considered folding his pants yet again because of the heat and temperature, and to this, the golfer answered, “I did, yeah, but it was such a — people were having such a big laugh at it, I kind of was worried about it. No, I had black pants on today, so I didn’t really have an excuse.”

In addition to this, Kim also said, “ I’m trying to think what pant colors I have tomorrow. If it’s wet tomorrow, maybe it’s coming back. I played well with it yesterday, so we’ll see.” Thus, he hints at the fact that he might adopt his old fashion creed again if it rains. 

Tom Kim’s performance at the FedEx St. Jude Championship so far

Tom Kim had an ankle injury which happened on the second day of the Open Championship. But despite the hurdle, he secured second place in the last major of the year. Now, this star golfer has not ceased to show off his stellar performance, even in the FedEx St. Jude Championship. 

In the first round of the tournament, he shot seven successful birdies and landed his score at 64. Then, going forward to round two, he putted two birdies, but had a bogey-free round, thus having a 2-under 68 at the end of the round. Currently, the golfer stands at T3, and it is to be seen how he performs in the second half of the event.
