Ever since her team won the prestigious Solheim Cup, Charley Hull has been riding with her head held high. Winning the international event has given her confidence and she is ready to take on new challenges. Recently, she has been confirmed to participate in the Grant Thornton Invitational, a nеw mixеd-tеam еvеnt co-sanctionеd by both thе PGA Tour and thе LPGA Tour.

However, after saying yes to the monumental collaboration between the two prestigious tours, she is not playing at this weekend’s Maybank Championship. Hull seems to have a valid reason for it.

Charley Hull is in Riyadh for the Aramco finale

With the end of the year coming soon, many tournaments are taking place all around. While the LPGA is hosting the Maybank Championship at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, the LET is hosting the last event of the Saudi-funded Aramco Team Series in Riyadh at the Riyadh Golf Club from October 27-29. After the LIV Golf event two weeks ago, Riyadh is hosting a big tournament once again.

Sadly for Hull, she can only participate in one event this weekend and she has chosen Aramco to display her golfing skills. Hull along with Minjee Lee and world No.1 Lilia Vu has flown to Riyadh this week. This is the fifth and last event of the 2023 Aramco Team Series presented by PIF.

Speaking about the event, Hull said, “The Aramco Team Series format brings a lot of fun, excitement, and team spirit to tournament golf, while it is also a great challenge to place well individually in such a high-caliber field. Without doubt, they are highlights on the international women’s golfing calendar.”

The last time Charley performed in Aramco was at its London event, where she finished as a runner-up. Meanwhile, Hull is also ready for the Grant Thornton as well.

Following in the steps of Lexi Thompson, who played on the PGA Tour, Hull too is ready to make her debut on the men’s tour in Grant Thornton in the first week of December from 8-10. For the event, she has been paired up with fellow English golfer Justin Rose. Besides them, 15 other pairs of malе and fеmalе golfеrs will also be competing at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples.

Each day of the tournament will have a different format of game; like scrambles, foursomes, and a modified four-ball. But before that, Hull will have to show her talent in Riyadh this weekend.
